Welcome to Stonez Boutique Accommodation

Stonez Boutique Accommodation is a small, family-run boutique motel in the historic country town of Clunes, Victoria.

With just seven guest rooms, we offer a more personal and relaxed place to stay — somewhere you can slow down, feel comfortable and experience a little of what makes country Victoria special.

Our property was known for many years as Clunes Motel, welcoming travellers, workers, families and visitors passing through this beautiful part of Victoria. Today, the motel is beginning a new chapter as Stonez Boutique Accommodation, with a fresh direction focused on comfort, character, thoughtful details and a stronger connection with our local community.

Stonez has seven ground-floor rooms across three room categories:
Queen Rooms – comfortable and practical for couples, solo travellers and business guests.
Twin Rooms – ideal for friends, colleagues or guests who prefer separate beds.
Family Room– a larger option designed for families or small groups travelling together.

It is only around a 1–2 minute drive to Fraser Street, the heart of town, where you will find local cafés, pubs, the IGA supermarket, shops and some of Clunes’ beautiful historic streets and buildings.

We are conveniently located between Ballarat, Maryborough and Daylesford, with each destination approximately a 30-minute drive away.

Whether you are travelling for a weekend escape, visiting family and friends, attending an event, working in the region or simply exploring Victoria’s Goldfields and Spa Country, Stonez gives you an easy base from which to experience it all.

Our vision for Stonez is not simply to provide a bed for the night. We want to help our guests experience Clunes and the surrounding region through the people and businesses that make it special.

We are gradually building partnerships with local cafés, food businesses, producers and other small businesses to create special offers, services and experiences for guests staying with us.
